New custom-built coach-trimming centre
21st May 2007
JD Classics' prestige car restoration and updating business continues to enjoy signs of rapid growth, with the opening of a new, custom-built coach-trimming centre.
Despite only being open since 2005, the previous area has been superseded by the new 6,000 sq ft, purpose-built centre. Increasing demand for JD Classics' traditional coach-trimming craftsmanship has prompted the new-build.
"We're particularly excited about this development," said JD Classics' Managing Director Derek Hood, "because we can now offer our superior standard of workmanship to an even wider customer-base. The new area will also improve efficiency further still, reinforcing our commitment to getting work out of the complex for our customers on schedule."
The new area has been built to provide an even better working environment for staff and cars alike, equipped as it is with the latest machinery, tools and lighting.
The coach-trimming centre will continue to be run by our coach-trim veterans, Dave Strange and Martin Goodwin, supported by another three dedicated staff. Between them, Dave and Martin have over 60 years of classic car coach-trimming experience, covering marques such as Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Alvis, as well as Jaguar.
